- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Remove giblets and neck from turkey cavity. Rinse turkey inside and out with cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine butter, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, dried thyme, pepper, and salt.
- Loosely stuff turkey cavity with stuffing. Tuck wings under turkey.
- Place turkey, breast side up, on a rack in a roasting pan.
- Roast turkey for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh registers 165 degrees F (75 degrees C).
- Let turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Tips:
- For a crispier skin, you can brush the turkey with melted butter or olive oil before roasting.
- You can also add other herbs and spices to the stuffing, such as chopped onions, celery, and dried cranberries.
- To make sure the turkey is cooked through, use a meat thermometer.
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.
Enjoy your delicious Christmas roast turkey!
